Texas: Virtual Individual Therapy
Florida: Virtual Individual Therapy
Working hours, or hours of operation, are timeframes Kristen is available to schedule appointments or consultations and/or exchange correspondence related to your therapy.
Kristen McAdams Therapy operates in central standard time.
All appointments, consultations, meetings, and correspondence are conducted via email and/or by appointment only.
Hours of Operation are currently:
Tuesday through Friday 11am-5pm
(Friday and evening appointments available by request only.)
Kristen has 20 appointments available each week.
Scheduling is first-come, first-served.
48 hours notice to cancel a session on time.
This means your cancellation request is submitted before your scheduled time on the day preceding your appointment. Your cancellation is considered late if there are less than 48 hours between your cancellation message and your appointment.
Late Cancellations and No-Shows: You will be charged the full fee for that session.
Initial consultations are conducted so that we can determine if we are a good fit. If we determine, for any reason, we are not a good fit, you may request additional referrals.
Initial consultations are free 30 minute virtual appointments.
STEPS:
1.) Fill out the contact form on this website.
2.) Once your form is received, you will receive a follow-up email contains information about availability and setting up your client portal.
3.) Once the appointment is confirmed, you will receive a virtual link that is accessed through your client portal. You will use that link to attend your virtual, video consultation.
During your consultation Kristen provides informed consent, reviews practice policies, and discusses whether or not her therapeutic scope can address your personal goals.
$150 per 45-minute session
NOTE: You are entitled to request a Good Faith Estimate. This is a general estimate of what you can expect to pay for your therapy over the course of the year. These etimates vary depending on the pace of therapy you choose.
Payments are made via your client portal. If your payment does not process, you will receive a notification. You will not be able to attend your next scheduled appointment without completing your payment.
NO. I can provide a super bill. Super bills can be submitted to your insurance company for reimbursement. Reimbursement availability varies depending on your individual insurance carrier. It is your responsibility to request bills monthly, submit them, and negotiate with your insurance company.
Length of therapy can vary depending on many factors including: your individual goals, time spent attending therapy, and your personal pace toward progress.
On average, people remain in therapy 6 months to 2 years. They attend weekly 50 minute sessions. It is not recommended to skip more than two-three weeks in a row unless you and your therapist have agreed on a specific treatment plan.
It is NOT Kristen's goal to keep you in therapy longer than you need/desire.
In a technological age, more and more therapist have begun relying on EHR (electronic health records), or EMR (electronic medical records). These are HIPAA compliant digital storage software programs designed to keep your health information private.
Kristen uses Simple Practice. You will often see things like session reminders, paperwork to complete, private messages, or Telehealth links sent with the name Simple Practice in the email address.
